Delhi, Agra, Karauli, Ranthambore, Jaipur Arrive and explore the multi-faceted city of Delhi with a private guide. Next day, drive to Agra; visit the Agra Fort and marvel at the magnificence of the Taj Mahal. Continue onto the princely state of Karauli via Fatehpur Sikri. At Karauli explore the local handicrafts; visit a 500 year old fort full of frescoes and fine stone carvings. Continue onto Ranthambore National Park for jungle safaris with a professional naturalist. There is a good chance of sighting tigers. After the excitement at Ranthambore, drive to the famed Pink City - Jaipur. At Jaipur visit the museum that houses the costumes of the Maharajas and Maharanis. Ride an elephant at the Amber fort, walk around and soak in the colours of Rajasthan, scout for textiles that are famous the world over. Return to Delhi for onward journey. LIVING FAITHS OF INDIA (Yoga & Meditation) - 12 days Delhi, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Amritsar, Dharamshala After arriving in Delhi, visit Gandhi Smriti, drive through Lutyen's Delhi, visit the National Museum and sit for a special talk on the Life and teachings of Buddha. Visit Jama Masjid, Jan temples and Gurudwara Sisganj in Old Delhi. Experience the spice market, local perfumes and alleyways that haven't changed for the past few centuries. End the evening with a sound and Light show at Red Fort that details the history of Delhi. Next day leave for Rishikesh via Haridwar. On arrival drive down to the Maharaja's Lychee and Mango orchards. Visit ancient meditation caves and walk across a sacred river on the pedestrian bridge. Begin the next day with meditation by the Ganges. Travel by road to the sacred confluence of two rivers at Devprayag. Join in and witness the evening ‘Ganga Arti’ or worship of the Ganges. Start the next day again with meditation. Walk in the city of Rishikesh, imbibe the calm and channel your soul with the ascetics at the ashrams/ discuss faith with practitioners. Next stop is Amritsar via Haridwar to see Har- ki- pauri- the site where the Kumbh Mela is held every 12 years. In Amritsar, see the Golden Temple, the most sacred shrine of the Sikhs. Visit the Temple's community kitchens; also visit Jallianwala Bagh for its historically significance. Continue onto Dharamshala, home to His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
